The National Council for the Export of Agricultural Products in Rwanda (NAEB) said its coffee strategy was to “position Rwanda as a producer of specialty coffees” to “enable the sector to bring plants and prosperity to the country”. To dedicate the increase in prices as a sign of success and a direction for strengthening to improve production and processing practices.

It is not one of the largest producing countries in Africa; in 2016, it collected only 220,000 60-kg bags, compared to 7.1 million in Ethiopia and 4.9 million in Uganda. However, Rwanda is positioning itself by producing special world-class coffee and the delicious flavors of this coffee support this.

Rwanda coffee is best known for its depth and complexity. Coffee is the number one export from Rwanda and accounts for 24% of the country’s exports.
