Cleaning tablets for espresso machines – Urnex Cafiza Home Tablets

For use with automatic espresso machines

If the machine has a cleaning programme:

Place one cleaning tablet in the machine in the detergent compartment and follow the manufacturer’s instructions under „Maintenance and Cleaning“ for the machine’s cleaning cycle.

If the machine does not have a programmed cleaning cycle but has a compartment for pre-ground coffee or a bypass:

Place one cleaning tablet in the pre-ground coffee chute and place a cup under the coffee spout.

Press the relevant button to make a coffee using pre-ground coffee.

Once half a glass of water has run through, switch off the coffee machine for 5 minutes to allow the solution to work inside the machine.

Switch the machine back on to complete the cycle.

Repeat the cycle at least three times to rinse the machine, but do not add any more tablets (to ensure that all the cleaning solution has been drained from the machine).

Remove the coffee dispenser and rinse it thoroughly with clean water.

Before using the machine again, make two cups of coffee by pressing the button for brewing with pre-ground coffee, but without adding the coffee, and then discard them.

To clean the drip tray, place the espresso machine cleaning tablet inside and fill it two-thirds full with hot water. Leave the cleaning solution to work for about 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

If the machine does not have a pre-chamber for ground coffee:

Place one espresso machine cleaning tablet in a cup and fill it with hot water.

Remove the coffee dispenser and clean the filters and the dispensing channel using the cleaning solution you have prepared.

Leave the solution to take effect for at least five minutes and repeat this process at least three times.
