The Popayán region not only produces high-quality coffee, but also provides a livelihood for many local farmers. On average, each farmer cultivates between 1.5 and 5 hectares of coffee. The main harvest takes place between April and December, and the coffee is so valuable that any vehicle entering the country must first be disinfected.
